FRUSTRATED!

I am so frustrated with this weight loss. Jumped up on the scale this am -- NO CHANGE AGAIN FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME. I don't know what the hell is going on. I should not be plateauing at 10 freaking pounds. We ate so healthy this week. I've been walking the past few days... last week was crappy out so I wasn't outside then. But C'MON! I don't get it. I really don't. It's been FOREVER since I've dropped a pound. I don't remember the last time I had fried food. We've been eating salads and chicken and soup... I don't get it. I'm not skipping meals... eating fruit every day. Hell, even cut down on bread. I use to have a sammich for lunch practically every day. Now I'm eating our leftover crockpot dishes or soup lately. Stress can't possibly be to blame for this though I know it has a part. We walked MILES in New York two weeks ago. I'm drinking hot tea, ice cubes in water, taking vitamins. Haven't had a sip of alcohol since New York.  HELLLLLP MEEEEEEEEE

  1. Hey it's Crispin,

Here are a few things a personal trainer told me way back when I had a bunch of lbs. to shed and I'm telling you what- it worked....

    1. EAT FRUIT but not after 12 in the afternoon. AT ALL. Fruit breaks down into sugar, which turns into carbs.

    2. Carry almonds with you everywhere you go, just stick a baggie in your purse. Everytime you get hungry munch on a handful ( about 1/3 cup).

    3. Change it up. If you walk one day, rollerblade the next, do jumping jacks, swim. Your body gets bored doing the same old routine and you'll plateau more quickly.

    4. Cut white carbs out of your diet at least 5 days a week. No bread, pasta, chips, crackers etc. unless they are WHOLE grain.

    5. Don't eat after 7 PM.

Also, what really works for me is using a calorie counter on my phone. You plug in all your stats and it comes up with an amount of calories your allowed a day. Then you just plug in your food and holy smokes, i really makes you honest!!!! You can even earn more calories bu entering all your excercse. It's awesome!

Good luck girl!!! You can do it :)

  2. Hey, I know things can seem bleak at times just hang in there. From what I've come to understand when your body plateaus it could be because your body has gotten used to the change in diet and exercise and some times you have to mix things up a bit. I know one thing I've done is changing my exercise routine. Instead of doing the same work out ever other day one day I'll focus on upper body, the next I'll do legs and glutes. Then I'll either run or swim. Swimming is a great cardio exercise that works the whole body and is low impact so it's easy on the knees which helps me. Just don't lose hope, You'll always have support right here.

    Take care

  3. Ugh I know the frustration! Maybe its sodium which is keeping on water weight? Check out the salt content in the soups :) When I plateau I lower my sodium and flush with water as much as I can and it usually helps break through.

    Good luck!

  4. Confuse your muscles. Number one to keeping your body dropping the weight. If you jog at 4.0 with 1.0 incline one time, after 5 minutes, run at 6.5 and then incline it to 8.0 or whatever. Just keep doing that and your body will drop the weight. I was having the same problem and I never do the same machine more than two days in a row. Make it a game with your mind.

    You look great either way.

    Love you!!!
